Nine of Swords, everything you need to know

Nine of Swords, Druid Craft Tarot

The Nine of Swords  is one card that I do not like working with very much. For what it represents when we are going through a very tough time and we cannot shake it off of our minds.

Throughout tarot, many cards have very difficult meanings. Swords connect to thought and stress and with the Nine of Swords shows that spiritual and emotional stress, anxiety and depression is playing a big part in our lives.

Swords on the whole tend to be quite abrupt. There are other cards in the tarot deck such as the Five of Swords that has very similar meanings.

The Nine of Swords from a spiritual point of view

What is important to remember is that life has many challenges. We all suffer at some point from depression, anxiety and so on.

Another thing that’s important to realise with the Nine of Swords is that if you are not sleeping at night there is a real deep problem that you need to address. Insomnia is not always down to medical conditions. It can also be down to stress.

Never feel too proud to ask for help. Suffering alone in silence only causes you even more harm and more stress. Even if you don’t particularly like other people’s company by getting things off your chest, you feel so much better.

Furthermore, if you are doing something for example job that’s causing a lot of stress is it really worth it? Finding who you truly are, listening to your soul and going forward in something that you feel fits you is very important.

The Nine of Swords on a positive level

My own experiences that do relate to the Nine of Swords indicate that a lot of the time when we have our struggles, it’s down to the fact that we need to push ourselves to move forward. Moving on out of the situation that we’re in and making a better life for ourselves.

At times, I felt very alone with my spiritual beliefs and also my faith in the job that I do. Mainly because many sceptics and people don’t believe in what you do. Often I felt alone however I pushed through my comfort zone and managed to find the right kinds of people to associate with.

As the saying goes there is no light without darkness. Many of us would not be where we are today if we did not experience extreme difficulties throughout our lives.

At the end of the day, life gets better and really is what you make of it. Cherish every moment that you have good or bad as there is a reason why you experience it. Don’t fear the Nine of Swords.

How to work with this card in a tarot reading

Remember readings are all about positivity. As a tarot card reader, it is down to you to give guidance and support to the client who is going through quite often a difficult time.

Overall as I have mentioned if the client is holding onto so much that they can’t function properly then they will need to learn to let go. I would more than likely recommend counselling, hypnotherapy and healing for them. However, it is up to them to decide if it is what they would like to do.

Overall, it is a very accurate map of your life’s past, present and upcoming future. It cannot tell you what to do as we all have free will in life but it can advise you on what to do.

Notice also with the Druid Craft Tarot Nine of Wands that the person in the bed is covering their eyes. Perhaps they don’t want to see the reality of their situation. When on the other hand in the Knights Templar deck the man in the card seems to be very alert and ready to take on his challenges. Every card deck is unique so always work with a tarot deck that you feel comfortable with.
