Pentacles, what do they really mean in tarot?

In this blog, I will explain everything you need to know about pentacles in tarot. I will delve into what they represent and the meanings behind them in specific tarot spreads. Take your time to read my blog, as it is dedicated to both professional tarot card readers and those who are starting their tarot journey.
What do pentacles represent in tarot?
Within the tarot deck, there are four elements:
- Pentacle (Earth)
- Swords (Air)
- Wands (Fire)
- Cups (Water)
All of these elements mean multiple things. And with pentacles in particular, they represent:
- Money
- Work
- Career
- Foundation
- Grounding
- Material and possessions
- Security
- Abundance
- Upcoming future
Many people presume that they only represent money and wealth. However, they hold multiple meanings. Moreover, they often symbolise individuals with strong career paths. These paths don’t always require an academic background; they also represent those who truly push themselves forward.
Equally what is just as important as financial gain or support is the foundation. Having a good working plan or having a good strategy is also just as important. I really do think that they represent business and establishment. Getting established takes time and this is what pentacles show.

Pentacles and success
Overall pentacles are the element of success. Of course, it comes with time and effort and nothing gets established or picks up popularity overnight. And on the whole, show you that hard work pays off.
Sometimes to get to where you want to requires sacrifice. What I mean by that is in order for something new to come into your life from a spiritual point of view something else has to leave. Decluttering is something that we need to do on a regular basis. Particular tarot cards such as the Ten of Pentacles show this.
Pentacles can also represent clutter and holding onto a lot of material. Letting things go well open doors to new opportunities. Success comes from sacrifice, not only hard work.
One particular tarot card the Ace of Pentacles is all about success. Ace cards mean the birth of something new in that particular element. I really don’t think there’s any going back when the Ace of Pentacles is within a tarot spread. You build yourself up to something new it captivates you.

Pentacles and manifesting?
In spirituality, manifesting refers to the process of bringing your desires, goals, or intentions into reality by focused thought, belief, and action. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts and feelings can influence our external circumstances.
Many believe that by visualising what you want, aligning your energy with that desire, and taking inspired action, you can attract those things into your life. This concept is often connected to the Law of Attraction, which suggests that like attracts like, meaning positive thoughts can attract positive outcomes.
Manifesting can involve techniques such as visualisation, affirmations, meditation, and journaling to help clarify your intentions and keep you aligned with your goals. Furthermore, manifesting and pentacles really go well together.
Gratitude
Following on from manifesting having gratitude for what you have, is just as important as manifesting if not more. I think that’s something that we overlook at times, which is not having the gratitude that we should have.
Not only do they mean abundance with our businesses or our money but they also point towards gratitude. My opinion is that we should have more gratitude for our lives and for what we already have before we think about the future.
There is always somebody worse off and that’s what I think is important to remember. Pentacles also connect to earthly things such as nature, Planet Earth, animals and what we have been given from birth. Gratitude I think gets overlooked and forgotten about.
Every day, I thank the spirit world for my opportunity to work as a psychic medium and tarot card reader. As well as that I thank them for everything that I already have in life. Even though like everybody else I have dreams and desires I try to remember what I already have.
