The Hanged Man, Druid Craft Tarot

This blog explains the mysteries and meanings behind The Hanged Man. As a Major Arcana card, he appears lost and confused, suspended from a tree and without clothes. However, it’s not as bad as it seems. In fact, many interpretations reveal deeper insights and opportunities for growth. Let’s explore the positive aspects and lessons The Hanged Man offers!

When you look at this tarot card, you might assume he finds himself in a difficult situation. He hangs upside down, tied to a tree and naked. However, focus on what surrounds him instead of just his predicament.

Often, things aren’t as bad as they seem. When The Hanged Man appears, he signals that you might not be listening to yourself or recognizing the positives in your situation. You may also lack the confidence to pursue your goals.

This can occur in many different situations, both active and verbal. Notice as well that he is gagged and unable to talk. Holding back on what you want to say really points towards The Hanged Man.

Admittedly I myself have self-doubts and self-worth issues from time to time. Even with the work that I do, it does not make me immune to my own doubts.

Never fear The Hanged Man if anything, embrace it and be welcoming of it. Sometimes we need to take a break in our relationships, work and social life. Furthermore, it implies; sacrifice, letting go, reflection, patience and new perspectives.

Hanging upside down can also really mean looking at the world differently. Awakening spiritually is something that can never be rushed as it is a mindset shift.

When it comes down to the fact that he’s naked that shows the purity and the idea of being reborn. We come into life naked and so he has been given a fresh start on his journey forward.

The future never remains 100% fixed because we hold the power to shape it. While we can rely on tarot card readings for insight into what lies ahead, ultimately, we create our own future.

Nevertheless as mentioned The Hanged Man symbolises that we sometimes need that push forward. Notice how in the background of the card there is a field of hay being harvested, also notice how beautiful his surroundings are. Sometimes we can’t always see just how much we’ve already got and how much we need to be grateful for.

Even though he is gagged, he doesn’t wear a blindfold, so he can see what’s happening around him. In contrast, the woman in the Two of Swords wears a blindfold. While we can’t always see our future clearly, we can take all the necessary steps to prepare for it.

Sounds a lot scarier than what it can actually be. Throwing yourself into the deep end is sometimes the only way that you can learn. Along with pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is sometimes the only way to learn.

It does not mean to put yourself in a dangerous situation what it actually means is to put yourself where you truly want to be. Absolutely without a doubt if you do not self-sacrifice and push yourself out of your comfort zone then your comfort zone will just get smaller and smaller.

Overall, we will have a higher self and a reason why we have come into this life that we’ve got now. Finding our soul purpose is never easy but you must always follow your dreams.

Above all, we need to really reflect on what makes us happy and what does not. With this in mind again, it goes for relationships, friendships, careers, location and ego.

The other side of this card is that there is no rush into anything. If we rush things in life, that’s when things go wrong. Being suspended from a tree in a way is a bit like grounding as trees grow their roots into the Earth.

Never forget who you are and never forget what you’ve come from. Certainly never forget how far you’ve come from the past or things that you’ve tried to move away from.

Definitely, you are never too old or too young to start again in something fresh. Leaving behind any negative energy or negative people that have been holding you back. Transformation needs to start somewhere so give it a try if you feel you need to.
