Fear of death and the spirit world

Graveyard, fear of death
Graveyard, fear of death

Death is something we all think about, but not enough people talk about it openly. Have you ever felt afraid of what comes after? Maybe you’re unsure about the spirit world—or you wonder if there’s anything at all beyond this life. You’re not alone. In this blog, I’m diving into those very real fears: the fear of death, the unknown, and the idea that nothing might be waiting on the other side. If you’re struggling with these thoughts, I created this space for you. I’m here to help you explore, understand, and hopefully ease that fear—one insight at a time.

Let’s face it we are all going to transition back to the other side. Call it what you like however, it is going to happen to all of us at some stage and in some place. But I think what’s really important to realise is that we have no need to have a fear of death.

For instance, we all came into this world. Importantly, with a purpose and life lessons and valuable experiences that we have. Just as important we are going to depart from this world into the next.

Life is eternal, even though it is not in the same realm. When we do cross over we no longer have a physical form however we have our spirit form. Also, our consciousness goes with us into the next life.

Unquestionably, a lot of it comes down to the fear of the unknown. Furthermore, I link the fear of death to the unknown. Adding to that is also the fear of something bad happening when we pass. Adding to that the separation from loved ones.

I get asked often by people if there is any punishment waiting for us. First of all, when we pass over the first thing that happens to us, we go into reflection. Overall, this is the place that we go to look over the lives that we have just had. To sum up, and to come to terms with what we have experienced.

Throughout my experience of working with the spirit world, I’ve never known anybody to suffer on the other side. Love is so abundant when we pass, and we have a lot more to experience and to learn.

Unquestionably, it is something that is going to happen to all of us. So why have a fear of death? Let’s explore it even further.

This is another huge factor in the fear of death. Having some kind of idea that there is absolutely nothing after we pass. It is just blackness and absolutely no thought, feeling or consciousness.

Energy can never die it can only transfer into something different known as conservation of energy. This also counts for our consciousness and of course, our soul. It transfers into something different even though we no longer have a physical body just our spirit energy.

It goes for everything that has energy. For example, when you turn on a light, electrical energy is converted into light and heat energy. So, while energy can change from one form to another, it doesn’t “die” in the traditional sense.

Leaving behind our loved ones in the physical world before our transcendence into our spirit form. Worrying about whether we’ve left them in a good financial or loving state. Worrying if we are leaving behind unfinished business.

Overall, when your time to leave the physical world comes, it is time to leave. I don’t think there is anything you can really do to stop it. The fear of death is really prevalent when you consider what you have to leave behind.

Overall, even if you truly believe in life after death I suppose it can still cause anxiety. We never know when we are going to go into the next life. Because of this for anybody even if they’re religious or spiritual, they can have a fear of death.

Yes, it’s true. We all have aspirations and things that we want to accomplish before we pass. Of course, not everything is going to work out the way we wanted it to. Sometimes we pass before we’re able to accomplish what we set out for.

When your journey is finished, then your journey is finished. Perhaps you were not meant to fulfil everything that you set out for. If things are meant to be then they are meant to be.

When it comes to regrets this is another big factor of fear of death. Bad things that we have said or done to our loved ones that have not been resolved.

Similarly, the fear of not being able to see those we love such as our children or grandchildren. Of course, this is understandable however you are still able to see them from the spirit side.

Many philosophies and religions offer comforting or thought-provoking views on death:

  • Stoicism: Teaches that we should focus on what we can control — how we live, not when we die.
  • Buddhism: Encourages acceptance of impermanence and the idea of rebirth or non-self.
  • Existentialism: Says that confronting death head-on can lead to a more authentic and free life.

Overall, faith is what I think mainly helps to ease the fear of death. Even if you have no belief in religion or spirituality, it can help.

Furthermore, I think a real problem with death is that it is out of our control. We have no site or we have no way of stopping it if it’s going to happen.

Even though faith is not for everybody, I certainly would recommend that you be open-minded about it. At the end of the day, we are all going to transition into the next world. I like to look at it as going home as that’s where he came from that’s where we are going back to.

Altogether life is an ongoing lesson full of all different kinds of things that we have to experience. Going with the flow and trusting the flow of life and also the afterlife.

Surrendering to divine timings and going where you were meant to go. In a way, it’s almost like letting go of all your fears and worries and living life a bit like a hippie filling yourself with enlightenment.

Things will become much clearer to you when your time comes to cross over into the next life. We are only going home and that is all you need to think about.
