How to get the names of the spirits in Mediumship
One of the most important things in Mediumship not only for the medium but also for the client is to get the spirit’s name. Names really validate and prove who is connecting with the medium to the client.
There are many different ways how I personally get names of the spirit world. I do think it’s probably one of the most difficult things to actually get but not impossible. Every psychic medium works very differently from one another. For example, some mediums are much more clairvoyant, some more clairsentient and some more clairaudient.
How do I get names in Mediumship?
The spirit world connects with the medium in all different kinds of ways. As far as names are concerned sometimes I often can see names written in my mind. Or even hear them in my head. Almost like someone is talking to me (clairaudience). Again every single spirit communication is very different. However, my spirit guides work closely with me and help me with the communication.
Mediumship is all about confidence. And this is really the most important thing to remember. There are a lot of mediums that will not give names because they are not confident enough. Above all, I do believe that it’s one of the most important and vital things to do.
Another way of getting names is seeing somebody that you actually know with that name being put into your mind. Recently I was connecting with somebody’s mother and my great-grandmother came into my mind so I said her name and it was the same name as the client’s mother.
Spirit has all kinds of different ways of relaying information to the medium. Not always do I manage to get the spirit’s name but I do also pick up on names that are related to either the client or the spirit. These are just as important also as they connect the spirit to who they want to speak to and relay messages to.
Your gut feeling in Mediumship
Years ago, when I was first starting out in Mediumship I was at my first-ever development circle. We all had to stand up and bring spirits through for somebody a bit like a platform demonstration. Before it was my turn to stand up, I had this immense feeling of a younger male by the name of Tom. Sadly who took his own life due to breaking up with a girlfriend. I could not remove it from my mind. I was not sure if I was imagining it or if it was actually a spirit communication. Due to the fact that I had not been practising Mediumship for very long.
It was my turn then to stand up and bring the spirit world through. Being a little bit nervous as I was not sure exactly what I was sensing. So I described this young man with the name of Tom. I also mentioned a surname which I can’t remember now. My teacher’s jaw almost hit the floor at this “Oh my God!!” She said, “That was my neighbour, and that was his first and his last name.” He had in fact taken his own life due to breaking up with a girl and I had managed to get his first and last name which I was quite chuffed about.
Always go by your gut feeling with names. You may not always get them right however sometimes it takes a while for people to remember who they are.
Names of places and items
Equally important to 1st and last names of the spirits in the spirit world are names of places, valuable items and memories. What I mean by this is for example the name of a singer that they really loved. Another example is the name of a road or town that they lived in and so on.
Not so long ago I had a German client. I did not know at the time that she was from Germany however I kept on seeing a map of North Eastern Germany and Poland. I was connecting with her mother in the spirit world and I mentioned it to her. was showing me a map of Northeast and Germany which today is part of Poland and the city of Gdańsk. Geography for me is one of my favourite subjects so I know my towns and cities and countries.
“Yes, that was the city she was born in she was a Prussian.” My client said, “How did you know that? That’s incredible.” Jokingly I said “Well she told me” Certainly it was very important to her mother where she was born. I actually felt quite sad because she had to be evacuated from her home city and never really saw it again. However, she was very content in the spirit world and a very strong character.
Summary
Without a doubt, names are very important in Mediumship. Even when I’ve been having my own readings and somebody mentions the name of a loved one or friend of mine in the spirit world. For me, it is a much more memorable reading.
Following on from all of that, I always try to get the names of the spirit world if I can get them. If I cannot then it’s not the end of the world. Because spirit is trying to relay as much information as possible. And sometimes I think they can’t always get everything out that they want to.
