This blog is dedicated to uncovering the truth and meaning behind The Six of Wands. Throughout the wands suit in the tarot deck, this particular tarot card it’s quite a harsh one. Although it relates to every single one of us in life, I will explain its positives and its negatives.
The Six of Wands deep meaning
Overall, The Six of Wands is a very influential tarot card. Again, it’s one of those particular tarot cards that I look at and see something different every time. Notice how the man upon the horse seems to be very proud and influential while the rest of the people bow their heads. Is he a leader or a bully? Let’s find out.
I suppose in many different cases he could be seen as being an influential leader. However, would you not be more positive and confident if you were following your leader? Most of the people in the background are looking down at the ground. Not something you would expect if you were happily being led or guided by somebody.
Also, take into account that he is the only one riding on horseback while everybody else walks. He however may possibly be guiding people away from a difficult situation. A bit like a retreat in a way, but ready to come back and face the enemy another day.
Overall for me, I’ve never been very good at following orders. A good leader is a point of view and for myself, The Six of Wands tends to be more of a forceful bully than a leader. There are people who think they can lead, but they have absolutely no leadership quality or skill but think they do.
The Six of Wands from a negative aspect
From the negative aspect, I suppose I’ve mentioned a lot of it above. There are bullies everywhere and unfortunately, they like to target the vulnerable. As you notice in this tarot card behind the man on horseback, they all seem to be in a desperate state. Bullies attack people who are in a desperate or vulnerable state.
By having his back to the people behind him, he shows no care or interest in them. Surely if he was a leader, he would allow those more in need to ride upon the horse.
The important thing to do if you are being bullied is to stand up to them. And if there are six of you and one of him, the harder he will fall. Never let a bully or an advantage-taker overpower you. The truth is no bully will bully somebody of their own size or bigger.
The Six of Wands from a positive aspect
On the other hand, this could be completely the opposite. The man upon horseback could be very caring and mean well. He also carries what appears to be a falcon. Within spirituality a falcon represents boldness and to seize opportunities with speed and accuracy.
He definitely could be a very good influencer in difficult times. And the reason he’s upon a horse is to see further ahead to guide his friends or family through. Life is tough and there are some people that can really help and guide you in times of need.
Again, tarot is not all about the pictures and the meanings behind the card. Most importantly, you listen to your spirit guides and your intuition. The spirit world works very closely when working with the tarot cards.
Our everyday lives
As we all know life is full of all different kinds of obstacles. Unfortunately, these obstacles can occur when we are at our lowest. For example, if you have gone through a difficult breakup or loss of a loved one.
When we are vulnerable that is when we can be prayed upon by either bullies or advantage-takers. Sometimes we don’t even realise that we are being bullied or having advantage taken out of us. However, you must always be aware that this can happen.
Again, The Six of Wands can sway two ways. But for me, unfortunately, it sways more to the advantage-taker and bullying aspect. There is nothing wrong with standing up for yourself. And absolutely nothing wrong with cutting people out of your life that I’ve done you wrong.
Having low confidence and low self-esteem affects us in many ways. Certainly, one of them is judgment over who we let into our lives.
