A major arcana, The High Priestess is a very powerful and inspirational card throughout the tarot deck. One of the 22 major arcana’s and stands at number 2. It is very similar to the high priest, however, for me, it has a very different meaning.

I will be explaining in this blog all my knowledge and understanding of working with The High Priestess. All you need to know from my perspective and how to work with her. As I write I will uncover her deepest meanings from my point of view.

The High Priestess on a deep level

Being 100% who you truly are. For me, The High Priestess is such a powerful card. There are some tarot cards for me that really stand out and have a major impact on me. The High Priestess for me is definitely one of them.

Notice how there is a closed book in front of her. This is ready to be opened and she is learning and calling upon herself in order to do so. On a deep spiritual level, the high priestess calls to you for you to express who you really are. We are all different and individual and there is no right or wrong on how to be.

Unquestionably throughout all of life’s tough and unforgiving circumstances, the high priestess will never let you down. Also no matter who you are or what walk of life you come from no two people are ever the same. Furthermore, if we do not express or accept who we are life will be more difficult than it already is. The High Priestess is in every single one of us.

For myself, as I have been building a business over the past couple of years since going professional as a psychic medium The High Priestess resonates with me. Building a business takes time and also building a reputation takes time. Her meaning behind everything is that you should be open and expand as far as you can go.

How to be The High Priestess

Self-acceptance, as we all come into this world as individuals we have our own lives to live. Of course, no two people are the same however, people do easily get influenced by others. We all come from the spirit world and this is where we all return to having learned the lessons from our physical existence.

Again what’s more, is that we always strive for what we really want in life. Sometimes we don’t get it however at the same time it’s the lessons that we learn along the way. The High Priestess is a very pushy card in that direction.

Stepping out of your comfort zone, this is what it’s all about. For myself and the work that I do as a psychic medium and tarot card reader, it is not been easy however I’ve not held back. I have found the courage to step out of my comfort zone many times. The High Priestess has always worked with me.

The High Priestess deep in thought

On a spiritual level

Equally important The High Priestess connects with all the main scenes used in psychic mediumship;

– Clairvoyance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairvoyance

– Clairaudience https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairaudience

– Clairsentience

Moreover, as we have all had many lives before deep down within our souls lies who we truly are. Meditation to connect to your soul and your soul’s purpose is always a good option.

Finding out who you really are is a very personal journey. It can take many years to do so and through many traumas and difficulties we all face brings to the surface our true purposes. Never underestimate yourself or anybody else because in dire circumstances you may be shocked at how strong you or others are.

Even though I have been reading the tarot for so many years every time I can see something different. My intuition and the work with my spirit guides gives me the insight into the tarot. Intuition (also known as language of the soul) it’s all a major part of how I work. Because I have given so many Readings over the years for people all over the world and all different walks of life it’s like second nature to me.

Origins of the High Priestess

Originally this card was known as La Papesse “The Popess”. Linking the woman on the card to the papacy in the Catholic church. It should be noted that there is no place for women in the papacy however, there was Pope Joan by legend.

Even though The High Priestess is a female card, hence the name priestess I have never really associated it based on its gender. Again I don’t think that even the court cards necessarily link to male or female genders all the time.

Also, as we are all born psychic and all connected to the spirit world, we all have the capability to tune into our abilities. Because this is a major arcana and throughout history and the upcoming future this will always be present. Understandably the origins of many tarot cards are shrouded in Mystery and we need to make up our own thoughts and feelings towards them.
