The Lord, everything that you need to know about this tarot card

In this blog, I will explain everything you need to know about working with The Lord in tarot. In other tarot decks, this card is known as The Emperor, but in the Druid Craft Tarot, it is called The Lord. Whether you’re starting your tarot journey or simply curious, I hope this blog helps you.
The Lord cards deep meaning in tarot
As a Major Arcana card, The Lord represents a very important life situation. While a few similar cards exist throughout the tarot deck, I believe The Lord holds a uniquely significant meaning compared to the rest.
For example, the similar Major Arcana card, The High Priest, focuses much more on direct action. In contrast, The Lord embodies a more patient and manifesting meaning. Notice how he sits upon a throne adorned with a helmet made of stag antlers. I believe he resembles a hermit and prefers to keep to himself.
The Lord undoubtedly displays some degree of direct action; however, he does not enforce it as strongly. Also, notice the red cloak that surrounds him. Red holds significant meaning for our root chakra, grounding us to Mother Earth. He certainly appears very self-aware and self-assured.
In many ways, he reminds me a bit of a Greek Titan as he appears to be up high possibly in the mountains. Humbleness is without doubt one of the things that he holds deep. Overall, he has a deep spiritual understanding of himself and of the world.
The Lord in our everyday lives
Within The Lord, I can see a mixture of both The Hermit and The High Priest. Also not to forget the female counterpart The Lady. He enjoys his own company, but at the same time, he is a leader. Definitely, he has a lot of intuition and listens to his gut feeling.
Whether you are a spiritual person or not it does not matter. If something does not feel right to you, then it’s not right. You don’t need to believe in any spirit guides or the spirit world you just need to believe in yourself. Humbleness is really the way forward and anything like that. Because humbleness is what gives you the answers that you seek deeply within you.
Also, this card suggests stability and security within your life. Being sat upon a throne with nothing above him it can show that you are on top of things. Self-discipline and self-control are what have got you to this point in your life. Furthermore, setting up your own rules and boundaries and most of all being proud of yourself.
The Lord and self-control
Self-control is something that we must always learn. This includes money, habits, addiction and so on. The one thing about The Lord is that he has a very strong self-discipline and self-respect.
Getting to the understanding of self-control is something that can take time. Weaning yourself off of addiction or obsession is not ever an easy thing. However, it is not impossible and I think without a doubt the key to that is self-respect.
Definitely, there are many people who suffer from self-respect issues. Quite possibly from having experienced a difficult or abusive childhood and even adulthood. The important thing to realise is that you’re not alone in that help is out there for you.
On the whole, I think that everybody wants to achieve what The Lord represents. Looking in on yourself and talking and listening to your soul is what is needed. Meditations and so on are a good way of gaining self-control and self-respect.
Asking for help
There is nothing wrong with asking for help if you need it. This goes for anything from addiction to self-loathing. Life is full of suffering and injustice and that is how we learn. Our soul has got to learn from difficulties and hardships to grow spiritually.
Many people also close down so that they cannot be helped. Admittedly, nobody can be helped unless they want to be helped. Sadly this is a problem for many families and for many close relations of those who are going through a difficult time. But there is always hope no matter how bad things are.
If The Lord card is taken out during a tarot card reading this can strongly signify the process of asking for help. Whether it be you or somebody close to you always take that into account.
Summary
So to put this all together, this is what The Lord card in tarot means on a deep personal and spiritual level. Throughout my experience of reading the tarot, this is what I have learnt from it. Even though The Lord is on top of everything it seems he’s not immune to problems and troubles, but he is without a doubt prepared for it.
He is an old soul with many reincarnations. Even though that may be so we never give up learning about the lives that we have. That is the reason why we have reincarnations to learn more and to experience more.
