Court card and one of the Minor Arcana. The Prince of Wands has many different meanings and it’s one of my favourite cards in the tarot deck. Within this blog, I give all the details from my perspective that connect with the Prince of Wands. Please take your time to read this blog and I hope that it helps you on your tarot journey.

Overall, this tarot card has got to be all about overcoming the boundaries and issues that come our way throughout life. Moving forward and not standing down at anything that could undermine us.

Often when I have been on a downward spiral in my life I have turned to tarot. It’s not always easy to read for yourself, but just putting one card out for yourself can give you clarity. More times than not I have received the Prince of Wands.

Unquestionably it is a sign to never give up on life. Furthermore, never give up on your dreams, trust yourself and trust your spirit guides that good will come. Bad things come and go so never back down from your dreams and your goals.

If you notice he is very young and ambitious. No matter what age you are in life or what you have or have not done, it’s never too late.

Confidence is key to success and a happy life. For many of us, we don’t have much confidence in ourselves or in our abilities. The Prince of Wands it’s all about being confident and standing your ground in every situation.

Don’t give into people that try and pull you down and don’t give into people that try and put themselves above you. Truly the Prince of Wands is a free spirit and will get to his destination, no matter what.

Also, he is a very thoughtful person and does not bring anybody else down. As opposed to the other court card The Prince of Swords. Happy-go-lucky, outgoing and courteous this is why I love this tarot card so much.

We all have fight and have ambition in us and it can take an unexpected situation to bring it out of us. As well as that we always have youthful energy left us no matter our age.

Spiritually The Prince of Wands I find hard to define. On the whole, what is the pure definition of spirituality? For me, it’s about being true to oneself. Accepting yourself for who you are and others for who they are.

Of course, everybody is different and everybody sees things in different ways. However, if you do receive The Prince of Wands is telling you that things are going to get better.

As a psychic medium and tarot card reader is my firm belief that we are meant to experience hardships in life. Nothing is going to be plain sailing because we are meant to learn from difficulties and hardships.

There have been so many clients that I have that have shown me what true strength is. From losing loved ones or from losing everything that they’ve owned. Wands connect to fire, this includes passion, action and being direct among other things.

Tarot decks consist of 16 court cards. These consist of;

  • King of: Cups, Swords, Wands, Pentacles
  • Queen of: Cups, Swords, Wands, Pentacles
  • Prince of: Cups, Swords, Wands, Pentacles
  • Princess of: Cups, Swords, Wands, Pentacles

Altogether they are known for being the most difficult cards to define in the tarot deck. They can be associated with a particular person or a particular situation.

Due to there being no right or wrong way of reading the tarot, they mean different things to different people. For myself, I think it depends on what your gut feeling is telling you. However, they do have specific meanings.

The main reason for them being difficult to define is because they can mean a particular person as I have mentioned or a particular situation. I struggled with them when I first started to read the tarot. Now I associate them more with particular situations as opposed to particular people.

If you notice how The Prince of Wands has his eyes closed as he gallops along. Admittedly, he is letting nothing get in his way, but at the same time, I don’t think he has a plan in life. Overall, I think he is accepting whatever is going to come into his path.

Having a plan in life is a good thing, but at the same time, it is not. Of course, there are things that we all want to achieve in things that we want to do. Unfortunately, it does not always work out the way we would like it to.

Spirit does guide us throughout our lives and our experiences. Equally important are the lessons that we learn along the way. Patience is what we must always have when trying to get to where we want to get to.

Nevertheless, some things are not always meant to be. For sure there are reason reasons why that is, but we can never give up on our dreams.
