The Ten of Wands is one of 78 tarot cards in a tarot deck, belonging to the Minor Arcana. Wands symbolize fire and represent action, passion, and assertiveness. In this blog, I will share my insights on working with the Ten of Wands. It is crucial to pay close attention to this significant card.

The Ten of Wands symbolizes taking on too much at one time. Many times, we take on problems that are not our own. Individuals who are sensitive and caring tend to lack boundaries. In spiritual practices, discussions about spiritual boundaries arise, especially for those working as psychic mediums. When this card appears, it usually indicates a lack of established boundaries.

Sometimes we don’t even realise how much we take on or what we take on. Wands are not necessarily connecting to thought however, I can see this in this card. Also to remember with the Ten of Wands it is also pointing towards success in the making. For those of us who are self-employed and building up a business does take time. During that time it som like a never-ending task as it is an ongoing and difficult process at times.

The Ten of Wands in our everyday lives

Notice how he is climbing a steep incline with his wands on his back. He seems to be very tired and mentally exhausted from his journey onwards. On the other hand, however, the journey has been very bright and green perhaps he is at the last few stages where it really tests him.

With the Ten of Wands, something burdens him as well. Many of us have experienced traumatic events in our lives and sometimes feel too proud to discuss them. Simultaneously, it is the trauma and challenges that propel us forward. At times, we also assume the problems and burdens of others, in addition to our own. None of this benefits our well-being or mindfulness. Asserting confidence and authority in saying no is always essential.

Throughout tarot, there are many cards similar to the Ten of Wands, making it a unique card in the Wands suit. If you encounter this card in a tarot spread, pay close attention to it. There is no need to fear it; instead, it indicates the necessity of taking a step back at times. Taking time for yourself and relaxing is perfectly fine. In this situation, I recommend meditation. Since most of us lead busy lives, it is important to establish a cut-off point.

Being burdened by the Ten of Wands

Furthermore, it is equally important not to feel burdened by this card. I have observed that some clients become quite irritated when they see this card. It is essential to remember that tarot should not be viewed as an ultimate authority. Tarot readings and spreads are intended to serve as a guide in life, not to dictate your actions, as we all have free will.

As we all have free will and we all have the chance to change how our life works. There are also a number of other cards in the tarot deck that can cause people to feel burdened. Such as the Nine is Wands, The Tower and the Three of Swords to name a few. On the other hand, if we really want something in life then we’ve got to work for it. That also includes how we feel about ourselves.

Being bullied or abused in your past or if you are experiencing that currently, you must speak about it. Things are not always as bad as what you seem to think they are or they will turn out. This is another thing with the Ten of Wands it reminds me of the saying chip on one’s shoulder. Past experiences leave their mark, but there is always a way of getting through how you feel about yourself and how you feel about others.

Summary

So to conclude the Ten of Wands from my perspective. Things really are not as bad as they seem. And if you really do take a look at the card in the background, the grass is all green and the Sun is out.

Maybe the card is also telling us that we don’t need to do what we’re doing. There are things that are unnecessary in life and perhaps what you’re doing currently is one of them.

Every time I look at the tarot cards, I see something different. And when you are working with a client more often than not you are using your intuition. You are also working closely with your spirit guides that give you the words and the knowledge that you need.

What do you see from this card? I would love to know your opinions on it. Please do feel free to comment on this blog as I love to hear people’s opinions.
